Safari Tips

How to Get the Most from Your Gir Safari

1
Book 10–15 days in advance.

Safari permits are limited and go fast, especially in peak season (Nov–Feb).

2
Carry original ID proof.

Aadhaar, passport, or driving license matching your permit name is mandatory.

3
Wear earthy, neutral colours.

Khaki, olive, and brown help you blend in and avoid disturbing wildlife.

4
Stay silent and patient.

Lions move on their own schedule. A quiet, patient group sees more wildlife.

5
Start early for best sightings.

Lions are most active at dawn. The first slot of the day offers the highest chances.
